While in Washington D.C. the White House was hosting a special event for the public to tour the gardens and grounds. We were lucky enough to know somebody who works on Capitol Hill who got us a few tickets. This was the next best thing to actually touring The White house, which is no longer open to the public unfortunately. It was definitely not a let down, in fact, I bet the gardens are the prettiest and most refreshing parts of the residence itself.
